Upstate Update

Long story short Marsh woke with excruciating headache, vomited and has a blue streak of leaking blood running down the left side of his head. This combined with the state of his arm brought us here.

Marsh had a poke (horrific experience we will save for another day).

The labs came back ok.

He had an ultrasound on his neck. The ultrasound findings indicate it is not a clot… Just a post cath “ooze.”

Plan is do do x-ray and send him home (if it is clear and all is well).

Please keep him in your thoughts and/or prayers.

Post Cath Complication

Please send our ginger miracle some really big, strong thoughts and/or prayers.

Marsh had not only had a scratched eye but also a PIV infiltration issue upon discharge from Boston. Ice, super-duper careful monitoring, and being home helped yesterday.

Today he woke with an excruciating headache.

We are on our way to Upstate.

Please pray/hold Marsh in your thoughts.

Hugs, love, and many thanks from the bits and the pits❤❤❤❤❤❤

Cath Updates

Cath Update 1:

Lines are placed. They are taking measurements now.

Cath Update 2:

Balloon dilating the right side now.

Cath Update 3:

Still balloon dilating.

Cath Update 4:

They ran into some trouble with the left pulmonary veins. Dr Esch has placed a another stent.

It will be another hour or so in the cath lab.

Cath Update 5:

Cath is complete. Dr Friedman and Dr Esch talked with us. The upper left pulmonary vein was moderately closed off. The Glenn pressures are still high but slightly less than last time. The function is ok. The right side of his pulmonary veins looked great before the dilation.

Dr Esch is hopeful the left pulmonary veins will respond to the stents as well as the right pulmonary veins have.

Next cath in 6 months.

Dr. Friedman has cancelled the ablation and will chat with us in the morning.

If all goes well tonight… I don’t want to jinx it. 🤞

Please, please send good thoughts and/or prayers.

Thank you so.

Hugs and love ❤
