One year tomorrow

January 15, 2015 is the one year anniversary of Marshall’s first open heart surgery.

I am so thankful.   I had no idea at the time what that surgery would require of Marshall, his team, & our family but I am so glad it went the way that it did.

I can not imagine our lives without this ginger miracle.

This amazing toddler boy is a remarkable example of happiness, strength, & joy.  It is an absolute honor to be his mom despite how incredibly hard it is at times.

Like today.  It’s a weighty balance to keep the memories out and let the now win….

Here’s to hope that the hard stuff is well behind Marshall for a good, long time. ❤

Party!

I don’t even know where to begin in terms of offering my thanks for everything and everyone who helped my family and our ginger miracle this past year.

Especially Marshall’s Boston and hometown teams.  And everyone in between.

Our. Baby. Is. One. 🙂

And his party was fun.  Though we missed some we wished could attend (hopefully next year?!) we are so thankful that those who were there.

Seventy (+/- a few) people celebrated with us per my (cursory) count.  And it took everything, I mean EVERYTHING, I had NOT to cry during the singing of “Happy Birthday” (Once technology cooperates, I will upload the video but fair warning: I left in the silly parts to distract myself while rewatching 😉 )

Thank. You.
Thank. You.
Thank. You.
And…
…THANK. YOU. SOOOOO. MUCH.
