Spontaneous Walking

So far Marshall has only walked if he was enticed by a toy or encouragement or some other “bait.”

He only does what he wants to do when HE wants to do it (sound like anyone else you all know? ;-)) and this includes walking.

He started standing at random a few weeks back…and he was so proud (just as we were)

And the walking began but only if he was absolutely certain of his abilities.  So when he chose to attempt a step (or eleven) he’d take them.

Then Monday night as I was talking with the big wild boys, Marshall just started walking around.

And he did it again on Tuesday…

Here’s hoping he’s running around soon 🙂

Happy 17 Months, Marshall!

My how time flies…Marshall is already 17 months old!

Say it with me: Wahoooo! 🙂

Here’s some pics to celebrate:

How he enjoyed (his first) Pageant of Bands:

He was MESMERIZED and waved to everyone for the first 10 minutes of the parade!

And then he snacked. And clapped. And met lots of people, including my wonderful great aunt Barb and dear family friends.

And Marshall even offered kisses and hugs to an adorable baby girl I was lucky enough to hold for a few minutes…

So sweet. So thankful for all of us to be together at home ❤

Chivalry isn’t dead

The torrential rain this week inspired the big wild boys to be heroes.  after school the other day they ordered Marshall and me to “Wait right here” in the van.  Then ran into the house to grab the umbrella.  (Seth is hiding behind Isaac…he’s rather camera shy these days unless he is taking 800 selfies; -) )

As I was getting Marshall out of his carseat, the boys took off doing rain dances and puddle stomps….

My how I love my four rays of sunshine<3

A year ALREADY ?!?!

A year ago today Marshall went in for the cath that would forever and always change all of our lives.

We just had no idea at the time how much all would change.

But even back then I had a sinking feeling then that the findings wouldn’t be good.

The best part is despite how much of a struggle the past year has been, it has been so worth it.

And now that we’re here in this very moment in time, it all worked out ok.

And for that, and the fact that all of my boys are home, here, and best of all together, I am so incredibly, entirely thankful.
