Not so good news

The cardiologist appointment yesterday revealed some trouble for Marsh.

In fact, I had to sleep on it before I could write about it. And I don’t think staring at Marsh’s sweet, sleeping face late into the night counts much toward getting rest…

Dr. Smith found some venous congestion in Marsh’s pulmonary veins during the echo. It could be scar tissue like after Round 2. It could be something worse. There is no way to know without a cath. Either way it isn’t good.

And I knew there was something going on from how puffy Marsh’s face is when he wakes up and how tippy Marsh’s oxygen saturations have been.

So, as always, time is of the essence.

We are heading back Boston after the holidays. Scheduling will be in touch within a couple of days.

Please send those giant & healthy prayers, or beg the universe that the problem is something easily resolved in the cath, and overwhelm us with good thoughts. I swear I will send them right back as soon as we need them a little less. ❤

I am not at all complaining, but this year has been one of the most difficult ever…
