Another from the zoo 🙂
Wild Boys Took The Zoo
Wait Weight
Marshall’s cardiologist appointment went well.
Echo was good. His O2 Saturations are a little low.
Before we went to Syracuse, we had a disasterous attempt at a blood draw. Sooo we are waiting ’til next week for that.
Supplementing feeds somehow seems to be necessary as Marshall’s gains are not substantial. The team here is
letting Boston handle that. And one doc in Boston aligned with my instincts: his pulmonary blood flow will only support him to a certain size so he may not fatten up until after the Glenn. I suspect he reached that size in early May because that was when he made the last real gains instead of vacillating in the 14 pound range…
It’s been a long day. No need to worry about things that haven’t happened yet.
Time will tell. As it always does…
Exploring Isaac’s Face
Two Weeks (plus one day) Home
To celebrate today, Marshall laughed through his meds thanks to the great distractions of Isaac and music.
Annnd Marshall’s continuing to break his own weight records.
So, for now, he is thriving. And his brothers are too!
Tomorrow’s agenda includes an ice cream date with the wild boys, labs (taking back up this time), another follow-up with Dr S at the Syracuse cardiology office, and a meeting with the ladies at CompassioNET.
Thank you so much for all of the good thoughts, big prayers, & amazing support ❤
Please keep sending them…and keep Noah and his family in your thoughts too if possible…
Happy Baby
Fumbling through memories
It was around one year ago that Marshall began to let everyone know precisely what he was made of.
The size of his first kicks should have been a clear warning to us all ;-).
I am absolutely happy he is here. He is a pure delight. A worrisome and exhausting delight… but such an incredible, spirited, marvelous little miracle.
It is an honor to be his and his big brothers’ mama.
That said, it seems things are changing around here in ways I never (sadly & coincidentally on the night of his birthday) expected.
Marshall and his brothers are thankfully ok for now so I am just going to concentrate on doing what is best for them.
And hope the rest works out in the best way possible.
If you could keep sending those good thoughts for him and his brothers, I would greatly, greatly appreciate it.
Many thanks ♡
Happy SEVEN Months Birthday, Marshall!!
Record Breaker
Marshall weighed in at 6.47 kg – 14 pounds, 4 ounces – this a.m.!!
This means he has toppled his previous heaviest weight.
And best of all, HE IS GROWING AGAIN!!! 🙂
Now lets hope his shunt holds… each ounce from here forward could compromise that 3 mm shunt that his pulmonary blood flow depends on…
Breathe…
