8 East again…morning rounds

Please send those homeward bound thoughts and/or gigantic prayers…they just did rounds.

Marsh’s lungs are quite wet today. They are ordering xrays and likely more iv lasix. One of the rounding docs is a pulmonary vein specialist and the other was from the ICU (we both recognized each other from September). She and I had a long talk about sildenafil’s impact on pulmonary veins. And it may be worth weaning him off of it to see if that helps.

Not sure what the plan is now…I do know that Marsh cries every night about wanting to be home. (And I have been missing my boys and feeling homesick since we landed in Albany on our way here!)

So many thanks. So much love❤

8 East again

Marsh took a long nap this afternoon and is looking much more comfortable. He is a bit fluid positive and puffy in his face. They will add iv lasix (much more effective at pushing out the extra fluid). He just had an echo. The report should be back soon.

🤞🤞🤞🤞 Marsh will be back in New York in no time! Thank you so for the good thoughts and prayers. Please keep them coming so we can get this boy home again💖💖💖💖💖

P.s. We got him smiling this afternoon!

Morning 8 South

Morning from 8 South Marsh has been sleeping for most of his time here. We had a quiet night fragmented by a really terrifying moment following a lovenox injection. He kicked to escape the lovenox and knocked the clot out of the left femoral vein and artery. It took holding pressure, a versed-mezz cocktail, 5 medical staff, and a whole bunch of gauze to stop the bleed.

Little sleep for me but they allowed me to climb into bed and cuddle him.

All he has done is drink and sleep and ask when we can go home.

They just rounded and the plan is to let him rest, do some labs, stop the heparin, resume home meds, begin plavix, and send him to 8 east later.

The team will talk with Dr Friedman about the junctional rhythm and possibly pacemaker.

Please keep those good thoughts &/or big prayers coming

Hugs & love & so many thanks ❤

Post cath – 8 South

Dr. Esch just met with us. Marsh is extubated and on his way to 8 south (the cardiac icu). The next few hours or so will be telling as to how well his system adjusts to the stent placed in his right pulmonary veins.

As with all things Marshall, it is a complicated case and requires the world’s best to really use their skill, knowledge, and experience.

Counting the seconds until we see our boy.

Thank you so for the good thoughts and prayers. Please keep them coming. ❤

Update 4

He is heading to 8 south. They have dilated the veins, he is stable, he is on a vent and they have not decided if he is going to remain on it, they have to give him iv lasix and then heparin for 6 hours and then restart aspirin. They may perhaps add plavix.
He will have to have 2 lovenox injections.
Please send good thoughts and big prayers❤
