Morning from 8 South Marsh has been sleeping for most of his time here. We had a quiet night fragmented by a really terrifying moment following a lovenox injection. He kicked to escape the lovenox and knocked the clot out of the left femoral vein and artery. It took holding pressure, a versed-mezz cocktail, 5 medical staff, and a whole bunch of gauze to stop the bleed.
Little sleep for me but they allowed me to climb into bed and cuddle him.
All he has done is drink and sleep and ask when we can go home.
They just rounded and the plan is to let him rest, do some labs, stop the heparin, resume home meds, begin plavix, and send him to 8 east later.
The team will talk with Dr Friedman about the junctional rhythm and possibly pacemaker.
Please keep those good thoughts &/or big prayers coming
Hugs & love & so many thanks ❤
