Today’s news

Dr. Smith is very busy and helping in Rochester in addition to three other locations. So after some rearranging of the timing for Marsh’s appointment, my insistence for a visit today (in lieu of April 8) due to some changes I have noticed, and an hour delay, Marsh was evaluated.

The gradient in the pulmonary veins increased from 7.5 March 1 to 9.8 today.

So it’s trending up…

The right pulmonary veins are being problematic. And are closing in. Again.

I have noticed the other veins in Marsh’s body are showing the very indiscernible signs as well. Right now his o2 sats in his hands are different numbers by 5% or so. Dr. Smith explained this as “streaming” because of the way blood circulates through Marsh’s heart.

The good news is Marsh has been worse. When the gradient is too high, his hands and toes have 10% difference in his oxygen levels and a bunch of more prominent – and uncomfortable – changes.

The plan is to return to Syracuse in a month unless something changes.

And (with much dread and great apprehension) Boston is imminent depending on the changes we see in the next few weeks. As of Marsh’s last cath, their plan is to recath and stent the veins (which has it’s own set of problems.)

Please send our little miracle some great big healthy thoughts and strong prayers.

Sending so much thanks, many hugs and love ❤
