I’d rather be hurt than let anything happen to these boys…

Our sweet Evil Knieval incarnate slipped the restraints of his highchair today as I was typing next to him at the table.

He was supposed to be eating.

He said “Maaa!” in his “look at me!” tone.

I turned in time to watch him fall.

A small bleed and many tears (his and mine) followed. I called Grandma P and drove straight to the ER.

I kept him awake in the van by saying his name and tickling his feet and praying to every God while pleading to every force in the universe.

Though scared from the fall, this is how Marsh behaved while we waited for the doc:

He was dancing and running around (yes getting his boo boo fixed was more important than grabbing his shoes before we left the hill…)

Derma bond, steri-strips, the precautionary explanations of what to watch for, serious reassurance from our nurse & other professionals that this is an accident that I couldn’t have possibly prevented… and we are ON OUR WAY HOME.

I’m going to have a good cry and thank every power that is and will ever be that Marsh is fine…. And I hope with everything I am that continues ❤
