Dr. Friedman stopped by yesterday after Marshall kicked his atrial lines and moved over to the floor.
Even Dr. Friedman agreed “Marshall is progressing so well.”
Yesterday he made lots of progress despite being quite irritable and out of it. He lost his chest drains, then had chest xrays (which looked good), they lowered the amount of oxygen they are giving him, and they moved from continuous to bolus (all at once) feeds through his n.g. tube.
Then at around 9:30 or so Marshall began eating eating (no more pumping!)
And he did well through last night.
His nurse managed to turn his oxygen down even more while we were snoozing.
So he is pretty much recovering Marshall-style: powering through with profound stregth.
And per a conversation with Dr. Baird “It is reasonable to be thinking we will be HOME BY FRIDAY OR SOONER!!” (Direct quote minus the caps 😉 )
I honestly can not wait. I miss my big boys so very, very much. And would give nearly anything to have these four boys of mine together.
Plus I have a lot of people to thank for the amazing support shown through all of the good thoughts & prayers, the benefit, donations, and thousands of kindnesses we so incredibly luckily received.
SOOO many thanks it brings tears to my eyes ♡
