The wild boys had a very, very sad goodbye this a.m.

I can’t offer enough thanks to the people who attempted to make this a.m. easier on them.

My oldest son and I hugged tight and he said “I want to cry but won’t.”

I welled up.

My second oldest son kept his head low and his feelings wrapped tight.  His silent hug and kiss said more than words could.

A tear slid.

And my ginger boy melted down.  He doesn’t want us to leave, he wants to go too, and just thinking about it makes me cry all over again.

I would like to think Mrs. Jessup, Michael’s cheerful mood,  the walk I took Marshall on, and the big wild boys’ dad helped.

My mind knows they did.

But my heart just won’t believe it…
