For starters, I have to tell you that I know Round 2 is inevitable.
But I can’t imagine Marshall going through that again.
So when Boston called to let us know when Round 2 would be, I wasn’t really prepared.
As a parent, nothing truly prepares you for your child’s illness, injury, surgery, or any of the more worrisome things they go through.
But some of it’s a right of passage. And it’s certainly a strength test.
Marshall declared himself stronger than every person I ever met when he weighed just 5 pounds and 8 ounces.
It goes without saying that Round 2 is going to be tough on Marshall.
And as his parent, it is harder still. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for this little miracle.
And if I could go through all of this for him, I would.
There is nothing I wouldn’t do for any of these boys if I could.
So I’ll just do my best to get and give Marshall, Tristen, Isaac, and Seth the best.
And let the rest fall away to be dealt with another day.
