Oh, Nuts!

I have suspected that Marshall has a nut allergy (like his cousin in Ohio) and now I am nearly convinced. I interrogated (when I’m on a mission, I go full detective) two great moms I know for information regarding their children’s nut allergy.

And found Marshall is presenting the same signs as their children did.

We’re talking a:
Rash (that, however slight, triggers my mama bear defense)
Gaseousness (I have no idea if this is a word…I’m too tired to check)
Stuffiness (which impeded the whole breathe-eat pattern around 4:30 this morning)
Fussiness (the not inconsolable but definitely uncomfortable kind)

The problem is I’m not a big milk drinker (only a splash in my coffee.) And broccoli is one of those high gas foods nursing mamas are prone to avoid. And too much yogurt and cheese has its consequences.

So where do I get the calcium Marshall and I need?

And the void of a life without peanut butter and almonds (staples of my diet) is something I can’t really fathom but must… for at least a week (per the two great moms mentioned above) to see if it helps…
